After years of experience in the floral business, a "seed" was planted in Paula Pressnell's mind and her business sense, customer service skills and experience allowed that seed to grow into her own flower shop. On October 1, 1997, Paula opened Brick Street Flower Company at 502 State Street in Historic Downtown Augusta.
"I have always enjoyed working in a flower shop. This time, however, I wanted to do more . . . oversee all aspects of a flower shop . . . to provide superior customer service and superior products. I decided to open my own shop because I truly enjoy working to help others. I enjoy getting to know my customers so that I can best meet their needs," Paula explains.
Paula and Ron, her husband of thirty years, are life-long Augustans. They have raised two sons in Augusta who also reside in Augusta.
"There's no better place to grow up than Augusta. There's no better place to raise children than Augusta. And, as I have seen throughout my entire life, there is no better place to have a business than Augusta. The people are what make Augusta such a great place to live and work," Paula expressed.
